Hyunji Haynes is joining Nixon Law Group as a 2025 summer intern. She currently studies at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she is pursuing a concentration in Health Law. At Loyola, Hyunji serves as the Director of DEI for the Health Law Society, Vice President of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association, and a Student Facilitator for the Professional Identity Formation program. She is also an Associate Editor for the Annals of Health Law and Life Sciences and has been selected for Loyola’s Moot Court team.

Hyunji holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Legal Studies and Psychology, with minors in Criminal Justice and Global Health, from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. During her undergraduate studies, she conducted research on sexual violence advocacy and served as Music Director of an award-winning a cappella group.

Prior to law school, Hyunji worked as a paralegal at Habush Habush & Rottier S.C., where she supported litigation teams throughout the case lifecycle. She has also held legal and compliance roles at Exact Sciences, Strang Bradley LLC, and the Illinois Appellate Court. In 2024, she was selected to serve on the Healthcare Litigation & Risk Management Interest Group Leadership Team for the ABA Health Law Section and contributed to the Illinois Health Law Survey as a research assistant for the Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys.

Hyunji is passionate about the intersection of law, healthcare delivery, and public interest. Through her internship with Nixon Law Group, she looks forward to deepening her understanding of the legal frameworks that support innovation in healthcare, particularly in areas like digital health, regulation, and health equity.
