Meet Carrie Nixon, Esq., the Founder and Managing Partner of Nixon Law Group. Carrie helps healthcare innovators turn bold ideas into reality, guiding them through the legal, regulatory, and strategic complexities that comprise the U.S. healthcare system. Her expertise spans areas including AI, Digital Therapeutics, Software as a Medical Device, Remote Monitoring and virtual Care Management, Telehealth, and Reimbursement/Value-Based Payment and Delivery models.

Passionate about helping companies grow, Carrie is a trusted strategic partner, guiding clients through regulatory compliance, sustainable business development, and scaling in a rapidly evolving landscape. With deep expertise in healthcare law and policy, she blends legal knowledge with strategic business insights to drive success in healthcare innovation.

Beyond her work at Nixon Law Group, Carrie serves as Special Advisor to Empactful Capital, a Silicon Valley-based healthcare venture capital firm. Her entrepreneurial spirit comes from direct experience —she's the founder of two successful companies and co-founder of a non-profit public policy organization.

Carrie earned her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law before launching her legal career at Mintz Levin, an AmLaw 250 firm, where she practiced in the Health Law section. She later joined the DC office of Reed Smith, another AmLaw 250 firm, focusing on healthcare litigation. Prior to law school, Carrie worked as a Deputy Policy Director for a senior leadership office in the US House of Representatives. A member of the Virginia Bar, Carrie lives just outside of DC in Northern Virginia with her husband, daughter, and dog.
